Ce hangar va permettre de commencer l'assemblage du plus gros dirigeable jamais construit 260 m, 1 er vol prévu en 2002.

La société CARGOLIFTER lance " le fret de grand volume ", un dirigeable pouvant transporter jusqu'à 160 tonnes.

Le transport de cargaisons lourdes et volumineuses sans escales, avec en prime une grue intégré pour déposer le fret à son point final.

Le durée de transport sera réduite. 

Depuis l'été 1999 une maquette de démonstration à l'echelle 1/8e, est utilisée pour la validation des différents systèmes.
