Fondée en 1996 par Mr Roger Munk, la société Airship Technologies change de nom en Juin 2000 et devient la société ATG pour Advanced Technologies Group.

Mr Roger Munk était le créateur du dirigeable moderne dans les années 1970-1980, les Skyships 500, 600 et sentinel 1000 la société Airships Industries.

Le concept d'une enveloppe en Kevlar, des hélices carénées et orientables les gouvernails et la nacelle en matériaux composites, des commandes de vol identique à celles des avions.

La société ATG apporte de nouveaux concepts pour des dirigeables  

En Juin 2000, ATG installe son unité de production et d'essai à Cardington Bedforshire, Engleterre, sur cette base se trouve 2 énormes hangars à dirigeable des années 20 & 30.
