En 1987 aux Etats Unis ,une nouvelle compagnie, AMERICAN BLIMP CORPORATION, développe un nouveau concept de dirigeable économique à la fabrication et à l’exploitation “le LIGHTSHIP A50” ,devenu A60 et maintenant A60+ .

Pourquoi “LIGHTSHIP” : Les dirigeables souples ( 60 m long environ ) actuellement en service sont équipés de panneaux lumineux sur leurs flancs, qu’ils utilisent pendant des vols nocturnes pour délivrer un message publicitaire ou autre.

Le LIGHTSHIP dont la traduction est vaisseau lumineux ou dirigeable lumineux est équipé de projecteurs qui éclairent l'intérieur de l’enveloppe ,le dirigeable devient alors une énorme ampoule publicitaire de 2000 m3 (pour l’A60+).

En 1999 l’A60+ est le blimp le plus répendu sur 4 des 5 continents.

Au début de 1999, dirigeables A.B.C. en service : 16 A60+ 3 A150 version de 50 m, 10 places.

In the 1987 in the United States, a new company, AMERICAN BLIMP CORPORATION, develop a new economical concept of airship in the manufacture and in the exploitation “ the LIGHTSHIP A50 “ become A60 and now A60+.

Why “ LIGHTSHIP “ : The supple airship ( 60 m lenght about ) at present in service his equipped with brillant panels on their sides that they use during night-flights to free a commercial or another one.

The LIGHTSHIP airship of which the translation is brilliant airship is equipped with porjectors that lights the inside of the envelope, the airship becomes then enormous one advertising light bulb of 2000 m3 ( for 1 A60+ ).
