Sur l’aéroport de Mulheim /Ruhr en Allemagne une société exploite des dirigeables de 60 mètres, similaires aux blimps GZ 20 de GOOD YEAR .

W.D.L. est son nom ou plus exactement la WESTDEUTSCHE LUTWERBUNG spécialisée dans la publicité aérienne.

Le 13 Août 1972,son nouveau dirigeable “le mousquetaire volant” effectue sa 1 première ascension ,de type WDL 1A équipé de panneaux lumineux de 40 m x 8 m sur les flancs, suivi d’un deuxième dirigeable le 30 Octobre ,destiné au Japon et baptisé “Nippon volant”.

La W.D.L. a fabriquée depuis 1972 ,8 dirigeables de type WDL 1 A de 58 m& WDL 1 B de 60 m .

A ce jour cette firme exploite 4 dirigeables sur sa base de l’aéroport d’Essen-Mulheim.

The W.D.L. fabricated since 1972 , 8 dirigibles of type WDL 1a  To of 58 m& WDL 1b of 60 m.
